As we all know by now our fair city Charlotte is going to be showcased for weeks leading up till and including the Democratic National Convention the week of Sept. 3, 2012. Over 35,000 media, delegates and special guests are expected during the Convention. According to CNN ….
“The Democratic National Committee estimated that the economic impact on the 2008 convention city, Denver, was $160 million. At that time, the DNC also noted that 50,000 additional people visited that city because of the convention.” WOW!
* and in 2008 the TV audience ~ 38 million watched Barack Obama’s acceptance speech in Denver
