“I don’t know what it is but every time we do a HomeStory for one of our listings…it creates a buzz and a positive vibe that just seems to draw buyers in…”
It’s getting very noisy out there.
Google alone has over 34,000 searches a second, A SECOND. The internet noise is so loud it’s deafening.
Even the most cutting edge real estate agents are struggling to keep up with what’s next…Pinterest,Google +, Facebook
” users spend an average of 1 hour 17 minutes on Pinterest well ahead of Twitter (36 minutes), LinkedIn (17 minutes) and Google+ (6 minutes)….Pinterest gets more monthly usage than all of these other platformscombined.” (see fascinating usage graphs below)
…six months ago nobody had heard of Pinterest & now it’s exploding in popularity (We LOVE it follow our boards right here | http://pinterest.com/southcharlotte/

So Mike….what does all this have to do with a blog post?
Millions of people are searching for homes to buy (over 85% start their home search online) at sites like Realtor.com, Trulia , Zillow and a host of other IDX search sites like ours (which is pretty darned good try it here). The hard truth is THEY ARE NOT SEARCHING FOR YOUR HOME – of course we knew that right? They’re searching for THEIR home according to THEIR parameters: 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, granite counter tops, the right school and of course by price range. You just have to hope they stumble upon your listing. To be candid it’s overwhelming and harder near impossible too really stand out – agents are smart and they’ve optimized your home for all the major websites…the problem is that’s a whole lot of optimization and frankly it all starts to look the same: 24 pictures virtual tours, vivid descriptions, maps…all of it good but not custom, not tailored, not……
Bespoke
Bespoke means dealing in or producing custom-made articles…it’s nothing new, actaully it’s kind of old school – but old school is making a difference. Every HomeStory our clients write is passionate and unique highlighting the things that make their home special, their story.
Why do I take the time to handcraft a blog post around the HomeStory? Because while to the world it may just be another house, to ONE person its going to be home! I don’t know what it is but every time we do a HomeStory for one of our listings…it creates a buzz and a positive vibe that just seems to draw buyers in…everybody wants to know the story of your home…I guess it’s kind of like a suit, bespoke just makes it feel like a better fit…like somebody cared!
