We’re so excited to share the 3615 Johnny Cake Lane HomeStory…
“Mountainbrook is gorgeous when the spring rolls around and the trees are in bloom. 3615 Johnny Cake Lane, in particular, has stunning azaleas, gardenias, and rose bushes. It is so fragrant, and being outside is a real feast for the eyes and nose. Folks who move to Mountainbrook tend to stick around for a while; there is a real sense of community here and we speak to one another when passing on the street. I am so excited for the new owners of 3615 Johnny Cake Lane. I can honestly say, my parents couldnt have picked a better place to raise their family and I am so grateful to them!”
I never know quite what to expect when asking a client to write their HomeStory…some stories reflect the excitement of sellers moving on relocating to a new town or a bigger place as their family grows and others are more like Leigh’s – more sentimental remembering her childhood or as she says being connected to a place for forty years…
“…my mom would watch me walk to the bus stop from the kitchen window, and I would walk backwards and wave and blow kisses to her until she faded out of sight.”
…a cozy brick ranch with character…and great features: slate foyer, gorgeous redone wood floors, spacious sunroom, finished basement / rec room and perfectly sunny front and shady back yards make this home well….the sweet syrup on your johnny cake (sorry that may have been pushing it a bit)! watch the virtual tour here
This home is smack dab in the middle of one of South Charlotte’s most sought after legacy neighborhoods Moutainbrook. Mountainbrook is a stones throw from SouthPark Mall (& my favorite the Apple Store – see you in line!), seven miles from Uptown Charlotte and just north of 485 and Ballantyne – this is one time being in the middle is a good thing!
Oh and the schools Sharon Elementary, Carmel Middle School and tadaaa Myers Park are close by and among Charlotte’s best. (full disclosure I graduated from Myers Park & our daughter Emily loved the newly renovated Carmel Middle)….almost forgot Mountainbrook has one of the best swim / tennis clubs in Charlotte – Mountainbrook Swim Club website here…if you’re relocating to Charlotte tennis is a year round obsession and our swim / bikini season is a full six months. (golf is year round too and Carmel and Quail Hollow Country Clubs are literally around the corner)
